Practice areas

The firm’s fields of practice: criminal law, immigration law and asylum law.

Criminal law

  • Police custody and voluntary interviews
  • Immediate-appearance hearings
  • Judicial investigation
  • Criminal court
  • Assize court and departmental criminal court
  • Appeals
  • Victims and civil parties
  • Sentence enforcement and adjustment

Maître Torres acts at every stage of criminal proceedings: assistance in police custody and voluntary interviews, judicial investigation, immediate-appearance hearings, the criminal court, the assize court and the departmental criminal court, as well as on appeal.

Every case begins with a careful reading of the file. That is often where the procedural flaws, the inconsistencies and the lines of defence that make the difference in court are found.

She also represents victims of offences: filing a complaint, joining proceedings as a civil party, and claiming compensation before the court or the CIVI compensation board.

The defence does not end with the judgment: sentence adjustments, parole and applications before the sentence-enforcement judge.
